I was just wondering when people thinks its ok to let your children play outside by themselves.  
 
My freind has a 5 year old daughter and she lets her play outside and run all over and she doesnt mind. The problem is when i go over my daughter is wanting to play with hers and when i say well you can play with her inside, my freind will say o its ok let them play outside, dont worry etc. My daughter is only just gunna be 4 soon and i dont really know how to tell my freind that im not confortable with her playing outside.. i have told her some times but then she gets offended cause it maked her sound like a bad mom i guess, when i really dont mean that at all its just thats not what i want to let my daughter do yet when i have heard of kids getting abducted and she could even be hit by at car.  
 
At what age did you let your children go out and play by themselves. Im just worried if anything happened to her then i would feel like i wasnt doing my job as a mother and giving her guidence and watching her closely.
