So I am being driven insane!! I just don't know what to do anymore I can not handle my sons attitude!!! I'm trying the best I can. My son is 9 years old and hes always unhappy!! The only time hes happy is when we do things or when he gets things like ruckers or toys etc but he doesn't get and realize we cant do things all the time 24 hrs a day. I don't know why he has this attitude none of my children have never gotten everything they ever wanted everyday etc!! I ask him to do the odd simple chore at least a couple times a week ex: this am I asked him and his brother to take the recyclables out to the bin. Not a hard job takes a couple seconds and he had a scowl on his face the entire time!! He never cleans his room, makes his bed, nothing and I ask him to do something simple and he acts like life is soooo miserable!! So I said "If you walk around like that all day you will be unhappy, please smile!" so he made a fake smile where he scrunched his entire face miserably that just aggravated me I said "cant you just smile nice and pretend to be happy" you will be happy if you try. That was a big Nope instead he went back to scowling and then crying!!! I have taken him recently to CATC but have to wait for drs to refer him to a psychologist. It can take a while I'm just fed up!! what do you think?? I need help. I dont understand it. I dont this this is normal.
