Childhood Phobias - hereditary?

My daughter has a serious phobia of ticks and spiders. No other bugs just them and it isn't just a fear, she has a full out panic attack when there is a tick on her and even avoided our basement for a week when she saw a spider web.
I cannot for the life of me figure out where this came from - no one in the house is scared of anything like that - she is just about 5, it isn't like she has had a traumatic bug experience or anything BUT my late husband was deathly afraid of spiders - she barely remembers him as he died when she was two but could something like this be hereditary? I'm curious.
