I have a friend that told me about this site and how people can give really good advice.  
 
I have a son that just turned 2 last month. He is my whole world. It has come to my attention that his "father" now wants to be in his life. This man has never been in my sons life, not even while I was pregnant. The day I told him I was pregnant was the last day I saw him, except seeing him in public.  
 
I am very divided with this. He told me several times that he never wanted to be a father. I understand that people can change their mind. But when he hasn't been in his life ever, why should I let him in now? I think what scares me is that he's going to come into my sons life for awhile and then change his mind again. I don't want to hurt my son like that. I also dont want to keep him from seeing him. Should I just wait to see if he contacts me? Or should I contact him? Maybe it's all rumour? I really don't know what to do here. I am a single mom, with little support or friends to talk to about this.
