Daycare Wait Times...

I'm curious how long everyone had to wait to get their child into a Licensed daycare?
I tried for 2 days and got my son into one, who will not be licensed for much longer and is not my ideal daycare (to put it nicely), I just feel like crying having to put him in there. He is on wait list right now for about 6 or 7 other places (fingers crossed)....
Maybe I'm just overwhelmed right now starting school (THIS tuesday I start), looking for a GOOD daycare, and meika starting school in not even 2 months...
How frustrating OR easy was it for everyone else to get a good spot?
