This is our first year sending a kid off to high school, so it's all new to us.  
 
Does anyone know when we can expect the course schedule and school supplies lists to get out to us? I know other kids from other high schools have already begun receiving theirs, but no one going to Neelin seems to have heard anything. Another mom sent an email to the main email but I would not expect anyone to answer that yet...  
 
Our daughter and her friends are getting anxious to see their schedule and start packing stuff....(well, maybe Mom is more excited about that part - I already have the youngest's backpack ready to go)

There are no supply lists for high school - kids can bring what they like unless the teacher requests something different/extra during the first week. Schedules should come sometime this month in the mail, but they get them again on their first day. Grade 9s only go on the first day back to school, everyone else the next day.

There are no supply lists for high schoolers, you should have an idea of what classes your student will be taking, so buy what you think will be needed. Binders, paper, pens, pencils, scientific calculator, geometry set, usb stick, are a pretty good start.  
 
The office is open, so you and/or your student can go by and get the schedule. Are you registered for home logic? If not do it while your there, then you can access your child's schedule and grades online (though the posting of grades is dependent on individual teachers, some are better than others at posting them in a timely manner).

Binder, paper, pens, pencils, calculator, scissors, glue, dividers. Your daughter will get a specific list for school supplies if she's taking an "optional" course when she attends and that's only if they require them to have certain stuff. It's mostly just bring the basic supplies and they'll supply the rest. (Graduated 4 yrs ago)

Is it basically the same set up in all high schools, that schedules will be sent out???

Some kids in Massey and Crocus already have theirs.  
 
Now, they may be older grades - I can see why the nines would take a bit longer to get course schedules put together - especially those who are doing the options.

My son's 1st year at Neelin was last year. We got our schedule mid to late August. As a returning student he had his schedule before classes ended for grade 10. As others have posted, yes Homelogic all the way. High school is much different than elementary. My so. Had a very hard time adjusting to managing his own time for school work and getting things done on time. Homelogic came in VERY handy.
