I have a 15 yr old daughter who's mother has allowed her to visit with myself and my family 6 times in the last 2 yrs.  
We have a court order which states I can see her every 2nd wknd... I haven't seen her for Xmas for 2 yrs, birthdays for 4 yrs, father's day for 3 yrs, spring break for 3 yrs, 1/2 of summer holiday for 3 yrs.  
I'm tired of lawyers willing to play poker with $7,000 every time an issue like this arrises. My daughter gets verbally abused by the ex (this was witnessed by family) to the point where she told us her mother doesn't allow her to visit and she even talked about taking her life 1 time in March 15'. Yet her mother claims our daughter is choosing not to visit. We all contacted CFS that time yet CFS says they can't help. The poor child is growing up with this as an example to become an adult and possible parent herself 1 day.  
Is this really society's norm today?

It might be worth the money to bring it to the courts attention 1 more time. You might even want to try for full custody now that she has a history of ignoring court orders and brainwashing.  
 
I know it's expensive but I've been fighting the same battle for 3 years and it just paid off 3 months ago.

As the daughter who went through something similar to this, don't let your ex have her way. May parents divorced when I was 8 and my father ended up leaving the province when I was 12 because my mother was so difficult to deal with. Growing up in that environment was very difficult and I have issues because of it. It's been 20 years since I've been able to have a good relationship with my father.  
As the previous poster said, it may cost money but a relationship with your daughter is worth it! Keep trying! I wish you the best of luck!
