Hello, I've just found out that I'm pregnant and it's my first time. I'm over the moon excited! I was wondering how to go about getting an OBGYN, I don't have a family doctor to recommend me to one. Do I just walk into a clinic and ask? Or is there some kind of process? Any guidance would be much appreciated!! Thanks everyone!

Go to a walk in clinic first if you don't have a family doctor and they will refer you to one.

Do like RL says, or if you'd prefer a midwife you can just call them directly and they'll put you on the list. Not everyone gets a midwife, but I highly recommend them if you're looking at a normal/routine pregnancy. I've had babies with both OBs and midwives, and much prefer the care I receive with the midwife.

I recommend a midwife also, definately not the hippie type mom that I thought most people were that got a midwife lol but I had an amazing experience with them. Even though it was my second baby when I went there I actually learned more with the midwife that the doctors never told me about, that they should have (ex things to watch out for). Even though the midwife didn't end up delivering (had baby in an ambulance), the aftercare at the hospital from the midwife was SO much better.  
 
Not that I had a bad experience with a doctor but having a midwife was a way better experience (oh and wait times for appointments were minutes instead of around an hour with the Doctor).
