My daughter is just over 2 years old and i was wanting to take her somewhere this summer for a quick getaway. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for places to go within MB?

Camp Wasaga

If your looking for a week long getaway I suggest Camp Wasaga at Clear Lake. It's great for parents and kids. I've been taking my kids there since they were little.

Depends on what you want to do.

Town and Country campground is just outside of Winnipeg and just down the toad from Fun Mountain (watetslides) and Tinkertown (think of it as the fair but for small children).

My family just did that the past weekend and everyone had a blast.

Souris is always fun. There is the swinging bridge, park and public outdoor pool. Good bakery for treats. Pleasant change of pace and a pretty little town.

WPG - Tinkertown, Children's Museum, or the Zoo. Winnipeg is probably my favourite spontaneous family get away! When we decide to pick up and leave for the weekend, rent a hotel room, go swimming, order room service when the day is done!! Surrounding areas - we love Souris and Wawanesa Pool! Wawanesa had a great toddler area in the pool as well and the slides are unreal!

the yurts in Sprucewoods are nice, they have electricity! the beach is great for little ones
