school project- brochures

I have this project and I want it to look good. The topic is about a certain health disorder.
I know I can use microsoft publisher or even design it on my own using photoshop.
Do you have any suggestion or unique ideas about this? What kind of paper to use, how will I'll fold it, colors, etc.
