Help with electrical problem.....

Hey guys, I know alot of you run nitro stuff, as do I, but is there anyone here that is good with electric stuff? I recently got an electric Tamiya Hi-lift F350 and am having trouble getting it running properly. I beleive it is either an ESC problem, or a battery problem. I just bought a brand new Castle Creations Sidewinder ESC, and I calibrated it, but the throttle is just going intermittently on and off. Not sure if I just got a bad one, or maybe I didn't program it correctly, or maybe both the 7.2v batteries I recently got from Janzen's were duds?! Any help would be great. Thanks.
