I'm sure I'm not the only one who is getting these calls??? They are constantly calling our business line asking to verify out google business listing. They say you can press a number to be removed, but I've tried that several times. I've tried being nice, I've tried being mean to them. They just won't stop. I even took the time to go through the verification to find out after about 40 minutes that there is a fee for this. When I told the dude(nicely) that I wasn't interested, he got mad at me for wasting his time, lmao. I've asked for their company name, they hang up. I've threatened to call the police, they hang up. There isn't someone in the office all day, but i have answered probably 20 calls on this, and the answering machine has probably had 30-40 messages.  
Anyone else have any success getting rid of these annoyances?

It has nothing to do with Google. It’s a scam.

It's probably another political party looking for another year end handout. These political entities make themselves exempt from the "Do Not Call List" requirements, and the CRTC continues to prove themselves one more failed government department, continually failing to protect Canadians.  
 
FYI: I get phone calls daily from people or robocalls, either purporting to be from Microsoft or some other company, and all of them try their scams in lots of different ways. It's amazing just how ineffective governments have become at protecting Canadians from this harassment and hostile activity. I imagine there are lots of vulnerable people out there that fall for it, and governments just don't care. If the scam is not legitimate, it's probably legitimate (whatever that means).  
 
Do what I have learned to do. Don't answer your calls, and delete and block the numbers you do not want communications with.

Our business line probably get about 3 google calls an hour. It’s annoying. We haven’t found a way to make it stop.  
 
We don’t have the option of not answering the call as suggested because it’s a business, we need to answer every call that comes in.

Yes, we are getting CONSTANT calls at our business from this 'google listings' (and I know it has nothing to do with google), and from different numbers too sometimes. The only thing that I have found for a 'fix', is not answering the call when you know it's them. If it's not answered they eventually stop calling that number, or at least a bit less frequently. I was getting probably 1 or 2 calls per hour when it started and we are likely down to about 1 a day now. I wrote down about 3 numbers that they were calling from, and whenever those show up on the call display,the phone gets ignored.

If your with myself for your business line I know they can block numbers from calling you. Unsure about the other companies but I'm sure they do too.

Many years ago, I used to get unwanted phone calls from Fabricland. It was a pre-recorded message that harassed my home at all hours of the day, and as I recall went on and on about the different sales they had going on. After repeated, non-stop calls I contacted the store manager and she told me that once our number was in the system it could not be removed. I never game them my number, but the conversation escalated with the manager getting angry and hanging up. For businesses out there, if your advertising is supposed to be legit, this is the one thing that pisses customers off more than anything else. Nobody in my household has ever been back to Fabricland, and I would never trust any company with my personal phone number. Keep it guarded, and block out unwanted calls. That, and put in complaints to Member of Parliament for Brandon-Souris Larry Maguire's office (204-726-7600), and let them know the CRTC isn't doing enough to protect the privacy of Canadians in their homes, and the harassment of scam calls in this city. Surely, the CRTC should be able to block these unwanted calls OFF!!!
