According to http://www.unitarium.com/speed-calculator Driving a steady 70 kph will take 1 minute and 43 seconds, at 60 kph 2 minutes. at 50 kph 2 minutes and 24 seconds. Is it worth getting all excited over, taking a risk or doing something stupid over a few seconds, not to mention the speeding ticket. " |

I posted earlier, time is money. The 50km/hr presently posted has been under "false pretense" as there has been no construction going on in that areaxfor 3 weeks or so. When a working person has to drive tgat route 3,4 or 5 times a day, wasted time adds up. A mere 20km/hr slower may only mean seconds lost or maybe not. Slower speeds often results in a missed "green" traffic light. So, take your 30 seconds lost and add another minute to it for the lost light. Now in the matter of a day a worker may lose 10-15 min from work just because of the reduced speed limit which is in place under false pretense! When work is going on then put the 50km/hr back up. No big deal for them. Probably add another 10 min to their day. As it stands now, a worker could lose 15 min of production a day because of this nonsense. Multiply that by 50 workers and we're now talking about multiple hours lost because of the unnecessary speed reduction zone! " |

Your worker knows it is there, so he adjusts his schedule somewhat - time management.
I was always at work at least 15 minutes early, not walking in the door the minute I am supposed to be there.
You never know if you will have to wait for a train, you do know you have to go slower there and you never know if you are going to hit the green lights. Someone ahead of you could be going slower.
Always leave yourself time.
