On comment above re a nice vanilla “Keystone Centre Arena,” there are still a few arenas that have held out on the corporate naming trend but has to be awfully hard to turn down a possible $1M+ cheque when looking at the financials. Every dollar in from other sources is potentially another dollar that doesn’t have to come from various levels of government
To follow up on comment re Westoba, I found a note from the same Sun article last summer on WCG naming rights that mentioned Westoba’s naming rights on the Centre of Excellence were up around that time. Haven’t heard if they’ve re-upped or if there’s an announce pending there too. Will follow up.
