From what I understand, BYSA is following a new program/format this year. I find the explanation on the website confusing. I’m just wondering what other people’s thoughts are regarding the upcoming season. Do you think it will be better? I’m a little reluctant to register due to disappointments in the past.

I'm under the impression there has been no changes regarding who is running bysa so hope for the best but I wouldn't be setting the bar too high. If said person is still in charge once my child cannot play in the galaxy league he can play a different sport.

BYSA ran by the same individual, no change has been made there. My children will not be playing with BYSA with “said person” running the day to day operations.

From what I understand BYSA will be governed by WRSA meaning no they will have certain rules, deadlines, and guidelines to follow in order to stay in good standing. I would think with this, BYSA will be more on top of things. Plus BYSA will not be handling out of town teams anymore which should lighten the load. Time will tell!

How many families with kids are frustrated with certain aspects of youth sports in our area?  
Lack of proper organization, lack of availability to address parents concerns and complaints, Individual agendas and lack of Teamwork in Board rooms, Lack of trained coaches to properly teach the rules and protocol of the sport our kids play, Inequity in playing time when everyone pays the same amount to participate, and kids and parents who hope and dread all at the same time that they will be on so and so's team and hope they wont be on so and so's team or have so and so for a coach, for numerous reasons (kids don't get along with each other, parents don't get along or have past unresolved issues with some involved, etc). Well so are WE!!  
 
Come try the PRAIRIE FOOTBALL LEAGUE. Co-Ed Youth divisions are 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13. This is the fastest growing sport in Canada. over 2000 kids play in Regina each year, and 1500 in Winnipeg too.  
 
Mondays are practices, Wednesdays are games. NO WEEKENDS EVER!! Everything is at the John Reilly Rugby fields.  
Full 10 game (not scrimmage or jamboree) schedule plus playoffs. all games have trained officials. Our initial Board of Directors has over 120 years of youth sport experience in our area in every aspect of running a league.  
 
Best of all, if you want to play with certain friends or old team mates from other sports teams,or if you want to register as an entire team, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate this.
