So as it turns out the issues noted in the original post reared their head today in a much less fun way to put it lightly. After going down late morning I’m happy to say that server folks have correctly identified the underlying program and things are back up and running. That includes all data and the functionality intact that you’ve come to expect. There might be a few instances in the late night hours of brief slowness as the server brings itself back up to full speed and I’ve been told there should be no expectation of a recurrence. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience, if there’s any small consolation it’s that it took place on the quietest weekday of the week. If there’s perhaps a silver lining I wouldn’t be at all surprised if by morning the site runs overall faster after updates made today.
As an aside, some folks might’ve discovered that if there happens to be this kind of issue I tend to make use of other social media platforms to still keep folks updated. Call it an unlikely mutually beneficial arrangement after folks were learning about downtime on other social media on here a while ago
