Unfortunately the forecast for us is to be mostly cloudy and cold tonight. Might see it through breaks in clouds if you want to take a quick look outside. This will be the last total eclipse that we will see from start to finish till 2025, we will see some partial and parts of total lunar eclipses in between. A lunar eclipse also requires no special equipment to view.
Luckily there will be live streams online of the eclipse. So you can watch it from the comfort of you home.
You will likely see this eclipse labelled as a 'Super Blood Wolf Moon' lunar eclipse on various websites and in media. Truth is, there is really nothing special about it, it's just a lunar eclipse. The Moon turns reddish because of Earth's atmosphere. Since Full Moons seem to have monthly names, guess this month it's Wolf.
And because the Moon orbits the Earth in an ellipse, not circular, it will be closer and farther from the Earth at certain points. Every now and then the Full Moon will happen at it's closest point. Just basic celestial mechanics that has been happening for billions of years. If you really want to be technical, the use of perigee syzygy would be more correct way of describing it. The other end is apogee syzygy. The term supermoon is an astrological term first coined in 1979. Astronomy and astrology is not related in anyway.

But don't let that stop you from enjoying celestial events.
This is just one of many live streams that will be broadcast tonight online.
