Hi! I’m new to Brandon and was wondering where is a good place to meet people?

Look at something you enjoy. Do you like Volunteering , musical, church sports events.

There are a lot of events that happen, hobby things and volunteer things. It’s getting easier to find things to do to meet people

There is always the sports and gym option. We have a hand full of gyms and a bunch of sports you can play. One example off the top of my head is Ultimate Frisbee (westman ultimate disc league). Great group of people, always welcoming to players of any skill level and it's cheap.

Check the eBrandon events pages for things happening around town. Places to volunteer include the Humane Society, Samaritan House, hospital, second hand stores ;annual events like the Winter and Summer Fairs, Rotary book sales, Christmas Cheer Board. Others can probably add to the list!  
If you have specific interests or hobbies, you can sometimes find classes or workshops. The Art Gallery has various classes, Mama Bears Quilt Shop, As the Crow Flies puts on annual quilt workshops, ACC offers some non-credit courses. Again, I'm sure others can add to this list too!

First off, welcome to Brandon!!  
 
We moved here 13+ years ago, and it took quite a long time to make friends. We had to find out niche and go with it, and have made some really good friends in the process. But you need to be patient.

When I moved to Brandon, I joined several different groups as part of my church. I made friendships quickly that lasted. I moved away from Brandon eight years ago and still keep in touch with some of my Brandon friends! Go for the deep connections and do your part to cultivate friendships and it won’t take long
