This probably has been asked before but can we take our pop cans anywhere in Brandon for cash? I see people going through the bins looking for pop cans.

I didn’t think Brandon had that kind of program. Cans for cash. I thought it was just beer cans and bottles

Manitoba you can’t get cash for recycling but a lot of provinces and states you can. They were probably looking for Beer cans or anything of value in the trash.

As a child, I remember my dad bringing in our cans to Brandon. They would have been all pop cans because he doesn’t drink. I kinda want to say he brought them to westman salvage but I could be totally mistaken on that!! I have a bad memory haha. But he definitely brought them in somewhere!  
 
We have 2 gentlemen who go through our bins and ask me if I have pop cans. Even when I say we don’t, they look anyways lol.

You can take them out to Westman Salvage if you have a lot but you are going to really need a lot of cans to make it worth your while.  
 
I believe the current price for aluminium is somewhere around $0.35 - $0.40 per pound.
