favorite childhood store

Clemmensen’s Movies & More was a magical store for me growing up, it was a big part of my childhood. You knew it was going to be a great night when mom and dad said we were going to Clemmensen’s. I still remember my family’s membership number, may have used it as a PIN number a few times LOL
I loved the small store back in the late 80s when you’d take the VHS case up to the counter where they’d have the actual copy, then eventually going upstairs to get the latest titles and the racks of older ones rented in bundles for cheap. Once they even opened up the basement briefly. I still went there after Blockbuster and Rogers shut their doors, purely out of nostalgia to rent and/or buy DVDs and Blurays. It was a fantastic store, with a beautiful painting of Marilyn Monroe on the building, and later on the sign.
I wish the new owner/renter good luck!
