What is the best bank in Brandon? I’m going to basically use it for bill payments! Best hours and customer service!

My family Rbc on 18th is the best! Good hours and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Everyone is going to give you a different answer based on personal preference, but my vote is for RBC. I've been going to the 18th St. location since I moved 8 years ago, and have enjoyed dealing with them. Friendly staff, and they seem to have more tellers available than other banks I've dealt with.  
 
I dealt with TD a wee bit as they were the company that gave me financing for my vehicle. I only visited the downtown branch a couple of times when my car was written off, and I was getting the cheques from MPI sorted out, but it was a pleasant experience, and if I were to ever consider switching banks, I would give them some thought.  
 
I've also had to deal with BMO for work, and while the staff are nice enough, I find almost every single visit takes longer than necessary. There will be a line of 10+ people, and they'll have 2 or 3 tellers working. I also find the parking for BMO very inconvenient, and anyone with mobility issues may find trying to find parking, even in their customer parking lot, a pain.

The other day I went to the Royal Bank to pay my Visa. Now here’s the problem.  
I don’t have a account with the Royal except my credit card. I also have used another bank to pay this bill, never had a problem. The staff told me that I cannot in the future pay my credit card statement with another bank’s check. I need to have an account with them. The answer was bring cash in, certified, or pay on line. Or cancel my card. So I would ask up front what you can pay etc.

Been going there for over 30 years. Everything I need is there.

I like CIBC. they are open late on Thursday and Friday. They are open Saturday. But what I love the telephone banking. Easy to use, anytime. Either by pressing buttons or by speech enabled. Or you can talk to a real person at anytime if you want to.  
I go with CIBC specifically for their awesome telephone banking. That is how I pay all my bills, from the comfort of my kitchen.

I’ve been with CIBC for 20+ years. If all you’re going to use it for is bill payments then I recommend them. Their app is awesome and you can deposit cheques with it and pay all bills. Easy to set-up on the app as well. Also their telephone banking is great too, 24/7 service. I never step into the actual bank unless I need to sign something. As well they have a very low service charge fee for a plain jane chequing account compared to the rest.
