If your at an intersection turning left and it’s yellow just be patient, I’ve driven a truck even with winter tires on that would slide every day it snowed no matter how much i slowed down.
Just explaining the other side of the coin. "
There is no explaining the other side of the coin. This person was going through on the other lane beside us...both vehicles were behind us (in the other lane) and we were able to stop easily. The roads were good at that intersection in both lanes as the salt had clearly melted everything. The roads were certainly not the issue in this case nor in the other incidents witnessed on snow-free roads.
I get how it is when roads were bad. They certainly were bad outside of the city, but not in the city at that time. These incidents had nothing to do with bad roads, just hurried people with poor driving skills and no regard for others.
Those who have posted that they have seen plenty of vehicles being pulled over for running reds...that is good to hear. My hope is that people will learn with a penalty (because they certainly don't seem to think) and safety will become more commonplace. Wishful thinking, I know.
It is just not that difficult to try to stop if your vehicle is in good working order and the roads are good...such excuses to disobey the rules of the road.
If you know your vehicle has an issue, either get it fixed or be more prudent of a driver. Fixing it would certainly be the best solution as it is your responsibility, you are liable and it could save a life. Don't use the excuse either about the bad roads when it clearly is not the issue.
Thank you for your observations, The_Young_Man.
