Provincial update

Two more new presumptive positive cases (see link below). Both are in Winnipeg. If all presumptive positives are confirmed would bring the provincial total to 17:

I'll be clear again, do NOT post rumours about cases other than what the province has confirmed. It's critical during this that folks deal with fact and those spreading rumours on such a serious topic will be blocked from posting further. Whether its on here or on social media, thank you to those who take the time to demand verifiable fact!

Thanks for catching this, I checked my inbox and found the same email and have updated the hours listing. Marks and Sport Chek closed to April 2. Canadian Tires are to operate at reduced hours. I have a message in with our Canadian Tire to confirm its hours.

In his address this morning Prime Minister Trudeau just made a reference to Samaritan House being able to open thanks to new funding.

A & W. Mall food court location. Closed. Other A & Ws remain open except for dine-in.

Bladeworx Barber Shop and Hair Salon. Currently open with reduced hours of Mon-Fri 10am - 6pm, Saturday 9am - 3pm until further notice.
Brandon Literacy Council. Closed until April 13
DQ. Grill and Chill at Corral open for takeout, mobile pickup and drivethrough to 10pm. Seasonal 18th St open to 9:30pm. Food court location will close and end of day March 19.
Nearly New Store. Closed until further notice beginning end of day March 19.

Subway (all Brandon locations). Dine-in not available. Open for pickup (order ahead with app for fastest service) and delivery

Prairie Mountain Health Visitor Restrictions

NEW ACUTE CARE FACILITY VISITOR RESTRICTIONS
For all acute care facilities, including acute mental health facilities, in Manitoba, visitor access is being suspended immediately. Visitor restrictions took effect today – March 19 – at 3 pm.

Exceptions for compassionate reasons for end of life will continue to be made on a case-by-case basis but will adhere to vigilant screening.

At the discretion of individual managers, one (1) visitor may be permitted to the following areas following screening:
- Maternity
- Neonatal ICU
- Pediatrics
- Emergency Departments
- Cancer Care Programs

For pediatric patients, including the Child and Adolescent Treatment Centre, one (1) parent/guardian may visit at a time.

The following individuals should NOT visit any health care facilities. Those who have:

-Returned from international travel in the last 14 days
- Had close contact with someone with a confirmed COVID-19 case
- Had close contact with someone being tested for COVID-19 at this time
- Been instructed to self-isolate or self-monitor for 14 days
- Cold or flu like symptoms (cough, runny nose, sore throat, weakness or headache).

A reminder that the suspension of visitors to Personal Care Homes across the province remains in effect, with exceptions for compassionate reasons for end of life.
