I seen the province unveiled its plan for getting back to the new normal. The only thing I never seen i:ncluded was a mention of daycares. They want to open up a lot of stuff but what about the people that work in these industries that have young children?

All I found was a mention in the government opening plan from today that said as of end of April daycares were allowed to take children of all working parents/ people returning to work. It was in the previous state of emergency section.

"Eligibility for child care has been extended to all Manitobans who are working or returning to work" but it looks like the other limits are still in place. It was at the bottom of the following link.

From april 14/2020 – Parents can go on the child care online portal and check to see which daycares are open when they need to go back to work. That is all they are offering for now

They are allowed to take anybody know but they are still limited to only 16 kids max.

Does anyone know if any daycares will do part time? I could call some of them but thought I’d see if anyone knows first. Are they short term spots too so if your current daycare opens you can leave?

How old is your child? We lost our infant spot so I put myself on waitlists but I don't have any hope in finding a place before mine turns 2 now. Have you checked out the province's list? It shows a couple places in Brandon having spots. Otherwise you can try the Facebook pages if you're ok with it being unlicensed.
