I wonder if there is any chance we will have Fireworks on Canada Day??? Sure hoping so!! People can watch from their vehicles or stand outside self distancing.

I think it was announced a while ago that all the Canada Day events in Brandon were cancelled. I assume that i:ncludes the fireworks.

If they do go ahead with something like a firework display, I hope the organizers place them to be set off at the Keystone lot. Plenty of parking there for social distancing, both at that location and the surrounding parking lots of the mall & other merchants up/ down 18th street & Richmond Ave. I'm so sick of the Discovery Center with the limited parking and awful street access on the North hill. Just once, can we have it like the "old days" like before the Coral & Discovery? Although, the Curran Park Canada days were worse then the Discovery for leaving, but leave that memory be for now. LOL If celebrations are pretty much cancelled at the Discovery, why don't we have the fireworks back at the Keystone? To me... This would be way easier for the town to quickly congregate and disperse in with our vehicles. All the while doing our best to social distance.  
 
Does anyone remember the keystone fireworks? ...Or think this is a good idea?

Having fireworks at the Keystone Center may be convenient for parking and some viewing, however the Discovery Center site allows for larger caliber shells which can be seen by more people from different viewing areas.
