A few months ago I was asking why someone would be going through residential recycling bins. That question was answered pretty well I think.
Last night about midnight there was a man driving a newer truck looking through garbage dumpsters with the light on his cell phone. He was taking bags of garbage and putting them in his truck. When I yelled from my window he got back in his truck and drove away. Why would he be taking peoples garbage?

Maybe looking for scraps of paper with your identification /personal information on it?
We all have our own quirks but this is weird for sure.

I'm not sure but I think Saskatchewan still pays $0.10 for aluminum pop cans. Their are a lot of dumpster divers taking cans from the the city bins. That's probably what they are after.

That was my thought initially too. The recycling wasn't touched. He was taking household garbage. The smelly stuff.

Definitely, somebody looking for something, did your neighbours refuse get disturbed?

I find it odd, this person used the cell phone light as opposed to a flash light. Sounds like an individual in haste.

I would be concerned.
