I’m not angry at them. I’m angry at the ones who have continued to do play dates, sleep overs, family get togethers, parties with friends. The ones who refuse to wear a mask. The ones who don’t follow rules and social distancing when they go out. The ones who protest how unfair this all is. The ones who believe conspiracy theories and refuse to educate themselves about vaccines. The ones who think only of themselves. The ones who refuse to take responsibility for their part in all of this
Are you one that is trying their best to do what is asked of them and help end this pandemic OR are you one of those who think you can do whatever you want because nobody is going to tell you otherwise?
Wouldn’t it have been nice if we only had to stay home for a few months like they asked us too? Now, thanks to some, we’re in this shit for another 3 weeks and counting! When will it end? When will you take this seriously? What will it take for you to take this seriously?
Want to know why you can shop at a store but not spend time with a friend? It’s because you’re in and out at a store and the store is constantly cleaning.
Want to know why you can eat at a patio with friends instead of in your own backyard? It’s because they can contact trace if anyone gets covid and others have to be alerted. It’s because they constantly clean as well.
Want to know why we have to social distance and wear masks when we go about our days? It’s because close contact with someone who has the virus is risky and puts you at higher chance of getting sick as well. Remember, not everyone who has the virus shows symptoms, so we can’t just avoid the obvious “sick” people
It’s been over a year. If you haven’t figured out that the virus doesn’t move unless we do, than I don’t know what to tell ya! The variants are here and they’re spreading. Stay home, stay safe, keep others safe
And for the love of all that is good, at least get a vaccine if you wish to continue on living like every thing is normal
We complain about our restrictions but our gov’t has been pretty slack compared to other countries and their restrictions. Did you know in other places you were given a time slot to get your stuff done in public and if you didn’t, you had to wait until your next appointed time? Get your shit together Canadians! We all want this to be over but we all have to do our part
Following the rules has ZERO to do with fear but rather respect. Respect for the doctors and nurses working around the clock to care for covid patients, respect for science and scientists who only want the best for people, respect for vaccines which could possibly decrease our chance of getting covid or minimize the effect it has on us if we do get it, respect for the people in your community that need protecting.
I am eagerly awaiting the day that we have herd immunity and can start to actually “live with the virus”. Everyone’s mental health is taking a beating and the restrictions need to end soon! "
Nicely written. Blunt and to the point so that people can understand it.
This is the way that government should be putting their message out.
