Looking for a recommendation for a fish finder that is decently priced, reliable and helpful for fishing. Hubby fishes a few times a summer, but would probably get out more if he could catch more fish. Not looking to spend a fortune, but don't want to buy something that is useless either.

Hi, if you're just looking for an entry level fish finder, you cant go wrong with a Garmin Striker 4. The fish finder itself can be had for $170 (you would need to buy a battery as well) or you can buy a whole kit with the fish finder, battery and carrying case for $290 ($230 on sale if you catch it right). I bought the kit last fall and I used it ice fishing all winter and it comes with a suction cup mount so you can mount it on a boat and remove it as needed. You can buy them at Canadian Tire or Cabelas.
