Any word on whether Brandon will be opening up pools or spray parks?

They don't in a normal year, so I doubt they will this year.

Actually I heard on the radio that they are opening up the spray parks early due to the hot weather. Rules will still be household only with 6 foot distance to be in place and monitored by staff.

They announced yesterday that they are willing to let pools and splash parks open because of the heat wave. Not sure if Brandon are willing

It comes up every single year. The city doesn't open spray parka until Canada Day, as a general rule (pools on weekends a few weeks earlier).  
 
Yes, they changed the health orders to allow them to open, but it's at the discretion of the city/municipality to do so.  
 
As a note, the Winnipeg spray parks open today, except for the 3 in the poorest neighbourhoods, which is arguably the ones that are needed the most.

That's probably because most of the councillors do not actually reside in those areas.  
Always my pet peeve that ministers never resided in the worst of their constituency area. Always felt that it should be compulsory, at least for half the year.

That these parks and campground pools. can not just open on a day notice. There is maintenance /cleaning etc that needs to be done on them to get them up and running and it is not likely that the workers have been getting them ready this far ahead.  
Also as stated by Winnipeg they are opening 12-8 but water park and equipment will not be sanitized nor will washrooms be open to public.

Different for hotels their pools are maintained.

-kinsmen pool will open June 15  
-spray parks will open June 21

Myself I think it's crazy to open them in Brandon.  
Good way to spread covid.  
And how the heck do you keep kids 6ft. apart all the time..there are more important things that need to be open etc..they ate keeping kids out of school the rest of the year because of covid, bit hey let's just let them all join up at a pool or spray park. How ridiculous!@
