garbage mess

Has anyone else had there garbage from bins torn apart and dumped all over the ground around the bin? It happened at our house, and I’ve seen a couple other peoples thrown about in my neighborhood. What’s going on with this?

I've had it happen a few times, my best guess is it was homeless or can collectors searching for recyclables or valuables in the garbage bin

the ones picking thru the bins are nice enough to put the refuse back in.
At least that's been the experience around here, I don't leave my bins out of the yard for this reason, not to mention the fact that the bins are only supposed to be put outside your fence come pick up day.

That would annoy me too if my garbage was spilled.

If it wasn't a human, it could also be a bear. One was caught in city limits earlier this year, and Winnipeg too. They are hard-up for food with the berries etc not doing well, so they get braver.

Some in my back lane lock their blue bin until garbage day. It’s one thing to look and take valuable recyclables, it’s another thing to leave the mess on the ground.

Some have had enough of the mess left over from people scavenging beer cans or booze bottles

Mainly drug users

Many times I have witnessed can collectors going through our recycle and always seem to leave things as they found it.
The meth/drug users however toss everything all over the road and take things such as curtain rods small wooden shelves, anything they think they can pawn to get a few bucks for that next fix. This is becoming a huge problem in Brandon.
