On pacific. Big blue apartment building 1600 ish block. Looks like a write off. So sad.

That's insane. At 8:40 there was nothing, but by 8:45 you can see it.

I sure hope everyone made it out in time. My heart is breaking for the people and families living there.

Just awful to see a fire of that magnitude, I hope everyone was able to make it out in time. Here's hoping that everyone is taken care of and that replacement housing can be available as soon as possible.

Attaching a few photos I was able to get this evening in the area of 10pm.

It's incredible how quickly a fire can disrupt the lives of so many people. So far all reports are that everyone made it out, that's good.

This building was not the one that was built from modules though. The building in the next block west was built that way.

City reporting that the fire is under control, asking to avoid the area if possible:
The structure fire at 1400 Pacific Avenue is under control. Brandon Police Service & Brandon Fire & Emergency Services will remain on site through the night. Please continue to avoid the area if possible. #bdnmb

I didn’t have a lot of interest in getting too close, but Stickney Ave was close to reminiscent of the holiday train for how busy it was. Borderline dangerous between people on foot and all of the cars. Hoping not quite that bad on the other side where authorities were at work.

Noticed a plane circling overhead quite low. Possibly an eye from above for authorities on the ground?

Victoria Inn Brandon has been advertising a Fundraiser (on local radio stations ) for victims of Pacific Avenue Fire Victims who lost their homes.

who lives in Lethbridge has to go right outside her apartment building to have a smoke. She has a balcony but it is not to be used for smoking purposes. Might be a good idea for apartments to set some rules here too? I am always uncomfortable when driving past a apartment balcony and see a gas BBQ.
