Is there any auto insurance places open Monday

Nope. All government jobs and banks as well as some small businesses will be closed the 27th because Christmas fell on the weekend.

Dec 24 is in lieu of Dec 25th.  
Dec 27 is in lieu of Dec 26th boxing day.  
 
At work we are closed on Dec 27th, in lieu of boxing day. We are also a small local business.

Boxing Day is not a holiday- general or a stat. Christmas Eve banks/government /most small business are open Christmas Eve so you wouldn’t get a extra day off because of that day…But whatever lol

Why would you not believe people when they say they have it off?

The union I am in, our collective agreement states that if a holiday falls on a day that I an usually off (ie- Sat and Sun), the next regular working day will be taken off in lieu. This year, because the 25 and 26 are on Sat and Sun, I have the 27 and 28 off in lieu. Different unions may have different wording.

Has had Boxing Day as a Stat for at least 40 years-i know that, because I started a provincial government job 40 years ago and we got a day off for Boxing Day every year.  
 
At one time we would get Friday off if the holiday was on Saturday, and Monday if the holiday fell on Sunday, but at some point that changed -and since then it's always the next business day we get off. So, this year it is Monday and Tuesday.

surely the insurance agents are not government employees so would be working as a normal day, MPI is basically a computerised system accessed by the agents.

I do believe several places have today off in lieu of Christmas falling on a Saturday. Pharmasave is not open today either, which sucks as I have 3 scripts to get as they run out tomorrow! Oi. (And yes before anyone says I should have ordered them before the weekens, I cannot, as they are controlled and can only be ordered a certain amount of days before they run out, just so happened it fell on Christmas day to reorder).

Because the people that are saying it, aren't employee's of an Autopac agent. They are people that just have an opinion.

They never said they were employees of an autopac agent. They said they had the days off in lieu. The other poster said it wasn't a holiday. They have it off. Myself I also had friday and monday off as stats.....
