Trial and error, what we use is a razor blade scraper with water and then Vim cleaner! Works great!

We use a ceramic top cleaner by Weiman. We clean it after every use. For more difficult marks like if a pan boils over we use a razor blade like the previous post mentioned. Our stove top looks as good as the day we bought it.

I also use the razor and the cleaner. I would get another one. Over 5 years looks like the day it came from the store. Clean it once cold and nothing to complain about it.

I have a white one that came with the house, and it is very hard to keep clean. My old one was black and loved it.
I would buy another one, but a black one.

I use the razor blade to scrape the built up mess, then a magic eraser takes most of the rest off. Some sort of ceramic cleaner will shine it up like new. Mine is also black. I imagine white would be much harder to care for.

I use a liquid cleaner by Weiman and a non abrasive scouring pad I bought from Canadian Tire. Works fantastic. I’m not brave enough to use a razor blade on my cook top.

I learned that you use vinegar after cleaning to remove soap scum. Then you d don’t have residual stuff left. This comes from a salesman

I used to have an element stove, and personally love the ceramic stovetop in comparison (despite it being a bit more challenging). I do like the Weiman cleaner, however. Also, mine is black so the scuff are much less visible.

Never have an issue. Our stove is about 20 yrs old and still looks like new on top.

Mine is only about 6 years old but it has scratches and a grey discolouration on the surface? I’ve used everything to try to get it looking better but no luck?? Any ideas

I always thought that scum was an oily wax residue left by the Weimans and assumed it was a helpful protection??
