Tracking number says “Exemption, attempted delivery” but there is no note or anything. Not sure where to go or who to call. I appreciate any help given

This is usually a message through Canada Post. Do you have a box number. Usually when Canada Post receives the parcel and scans it into the system, this message will come up. They have not had a chance to put the parcel card in your box yet. Be on the look out for a parcel card.  
 
My best guess. This is a link where you can track the shipping number and it will tell you who the courier was.

All I know is that it is DHL, it says attempted delivery but there is no card or anything anywhere. We don’t even have DHL in brandon. Whoever is handling the DHL packages is a jackass.

DHL is an overseas courier company. They get the parcel to the destination country and then turn the package over to a courier in that country. Usually Canada Post.

There is a courier in Brandon who deals with all DHL deliveries, I have received parcels they have handled . I don't have the number, but the main DHL unit is in Winnipeg you can look them up they will give you their agents number for Brandon

DHL stands for deliver have later. Always poor service from day one. Use to deal with when they first in Bdn.
