Are kids under 12 required to show proof of vaccine for outings like movies arcade dining?

No. They’ll only be eligible for their second shot now in the next couple of weeks as the first round only started at the end of November.
I’m sure once there has been enough time given for this age group to have received their second dose it will become mandatory for certain places though.

We went and got our 8 year old photo ID from MPI in anticipation of her needing it. I do not want to carry her passport everywhere and she does not have school photo ID. I will be ordering her vaccination card 2 weeks after her vaccine.

Even if not now in Manitoba may be required later or somewhere else.

And for travel in future.
