Can we name the restaurants that are not lifting the proof of vaccine?

As long as it’s factual and not an “I heard,” I’d personally love to know which places are still taking the extra precaution. If you’re in the ~10% antivax crowd and the context is a sort of  shaming without respecting a restaurant's right to make what they feel is the best decision for them and what they know about their customers, this isn’t the place for it.

Other than the fact it's off-topic on a discussion of which places are and aren't requiring proof of vax, there has been for the past two years and continues to be a zero tolerance policy on Covid conspiracy theories and misinformation on these forums that undermine the medically-informed response to the pandemic that's helped us get through this as safely as possible despite a portion of the population not getting the vaccines we've been advised to get.

Word of advice to those that are asking for togetherness and not divisiveness as we move toward this next phase. If you're in the ~5-10% that are holding onto some of the factually shaky conspiracy theories that are out there, please at least stop trying to peddle them if the goal is to move into a new normal. You're only going to serve to re-enforce divisions you might've been experiencing since so many of the rest of us see those conspiracy theories as representative of an approach that would put us, our loved ones and our medical system at risk in any potential future wave/variant we might see (fingers crossed that we dont!).

A little concerned that they’re talking about soon providing less data/less in real-time, while also saying that there’s an expectation that more interactions and less restrictions may initially lead to more cases. Really hope that they’ll continue sharing at least regular hospitalization data for the next couple months. Very real possibility of unintended consequence of folks like us deciding to be that much more cautious into the summer without best opportunity to know what the rate of improvement is. If the goal is a sort of re-open and to ensure max success of businesses and even events, I hope there’s strong consideration given to how important transparency would be to that success and having as many people on-board and on the same page as possible.

More evidence that while things have been improving, we aren’t quite there yet and why caution appears to still be a very reasonable stance.

Hospitalizations continue to decline, although it should be noted that the number in hospital (434) is hovering around our pre-Omicron high-water mark (445).

Not Brandon, but a good example of the kind of messaging I’ll be looking for personally over at least the next few weeks:  

The mask mandate lifts March 15 in Manitoba. The staff will continue to wear masks and plexiglass barriers/social distancing will still be employed. Customers are strongly recommended to wear masks while shopping. We take the health of our staff and our customers seriously.

A small minority of very loud folks seem to be trying to bully businesses into turning the page quite abruptly, using threats to not patronize a if still asking for or even encouraging masks or vaccines. I trust that most folks see those threats for what they are. I keep reminding that just last month 70% in MB and Sask went as far as answering in a survey that there should be mandatory vaccine requirements for more than a year. Not bringing up to start that debate all over again so as to point out which attitudes about COVID And public health seem most common.
