Anyone seen bugles while doing their shopping in Brandon ..starting to make some Christmas baking.

I was in Co-op last week speaking with a gentleman in the store, apparently they are not being shipped into Canada this year……

I was told by grocery managers that bugles have been taken off their order lists. They can't get them. Possibly supply chain issues.  
 
But I am going to wait until mid November and look again as In past years I was told the same thing and in fact I was just looking too early. They showed up in the stores in Mid November. Ever hopeful!!

Bugles were being made in the U.S. by General Mills, and shipped to Canada. About 3 years ago they stopped shipping to Canada. Bugles were then being brought over from England. Now that supply line is gone too.  
If you want Bugles, then road trip to Bottineau or Minot. They are only available down there. Not available from any grocery retailers up here.

I remember getting them from dollarsma a while ago.

Bought some this summer and last year too. Just can’t find them now.  
If all else fails guess Amazon has them - little pricey though

They said they would send them if they got enough complaints

Walmart.ca is still advertising Original flavour Bugles for $1.97 a bag.

It also says "Out of stock at nearby stores" so that's not too helpful lol

I emailed General Mills yesterday and they emailed me back stating they are discontinued not making them anymore.

They said they weren’t making enough money off sales in Canada so stopped shipping them here. They are still available in the US.  
 
As I mentioned above my friend called General Mills and was told if they get enough complaints from Canadians the company may ship them again

Trying to rile people up and start a complaint campaign. I have from an extremely reliable source with ties to the business that the product is being discontinued...period. Complaining isn't going to do anything to change that fact.

My responses here are directly related to the mixed messages General Mills has given to me and other people who have called about their product. What are we to believe when they give so many conflicting answers as to why their product is no longer available in Canada. In fact it was one of General Mills customer service reps who said to call and complain.  
 
Bottom line: this is a first world problem. With so many dire situations in the world today the loss of Bugles in our Christmas Nuts n Bolts, while disappointing, is a non issue. Life goes on!
