Robins still here!

There are approximately a dozen robins in our Russian Olive tree right now. They have been here for the past week. Is this usual? We don’t recall seeing this before at this time of year.

still being around I can understand, but I believe the robins are usually gone south by now.

After seeing a flock in the middle of the winter any years ago I did some research and isn’t unusual for robins to stay all winter usually in flocks going deep into the bush.
That said I think it is grackles I have coming to the feeder and I’ve never had this happen before. They look very cold, are fluffed up and cover their feet when eating. This seems very unusual.

I had 4 grackles coming to my bird feeder last winter. They were here right through all that cold weather and the late storms and didn't seem very bothered by the cold.

We have 2 to 4 crows , who have been permament residents . in my area, every winter, for the last six years.
Southweat area, near mall.

Was just walking my dog and saw a heron hanging around the back of our cattle pens. I wondered if it was looking for mice in the long grass.
