Doreen Winona Logeot said "After seeing a flock in the middle of the winter any years ago I did some research and isn’t unusual for robins to stay all winter usually in flocks going deep into the bush.
That said I think it is grackles I have coming to the feeder and I’ve never had this happen before. They look very cold, are fluffed up and cover their feet when eating. This seems very unusual. "
I had 4 grackles coming to my bird feeder last winter. They were here right through all that cold weather and the late storms and didn't seem very bothered by the cold.
