Anyone else see or hear the helicopter drone flying today in the south end, close to the cemetery ? It has been going back and forth for a while now, anyway from about 3:30 pm until 4 pm. It has stopped now!

How big would you say it was?  
There's the one local pilot that has one of those little mini choppers that he has out quite a bit, but that would be a manned aircraft and not a drone.  
 
Re drones, have always been curious who/what is out flying after dark in the South end on so many nights. South of Richmond will probably be a lot more common for this kind of thing based on where the lines are drawn re airspace restrictions. Saw it yesterday and it definitely wasn't a drone. Looked like a smaller helicopter

It’s a two passenger gyro copter that belongs to a local aviation enthusiast. Apparently can go for three to three and a half hours at 140 km/hr with a particular fondness for tail winds. Heated inside for when the temps are a little cooler up there. Haven’t been in one myself but looks like fun!

I believe it is too small for that Adam. I think it's RC, it sounds like a remote controlled machine. I could be wrong though...what do I know!

While it does look small, it appears to be a Rotorsport/Autogyro Cavalon (or some similar model), which is indeed a two seat Gyrocopter/Autogyro.

2 seat Gyrocopter. It's parked up at The Brandon Flight Centre. The most amazing thing is, the motor doesn't power the big rotor blade. The motor only powers the propeller at the back that pushes the gyrocopter forward. The forward momentum then turns the rotor blade to give lift.
