Wow, we are gonna pay for the previous lpw low tax increases! This is only the beginning, start saving!

Sorry 9.4% increase

That's what happens when you mis manage $$$ from the last decade.  
Extremely low tax increases are never good for any city.  
City needs to grow and need more services as well.  
Initiate a bylaw that heavy penalizes when a coroprate owner owns land, and keeps their building vacant for years.

Hindsight is 20/20 usually but either way bad planning and seeing them redo the same sections of road and piping over and over doesn’t help.

Or am I going crazy?? Only infrequently pay to park downtown but I was sure it was alwasy $1.00/2 hours. Now its $1.00/hour.

I think as we all grapple with the high cost of food and other necessities, we are all looking at what we really need. I think it’s time to look at City expenses more like a household budget. No one would choose to buy/grow a 100 poinsettias for a lobby at City Hall if you had no food in your fridge. No one would choose to pay for recreation if you cannot pay the mortgage. We def don’t need the 11.4 million dollar sports complex that Brandon contributed 3.4 million dollars to. People will prolly start moving away from Brandon to places that offer more.

One of the important things is to have an LED Brandon sign. Ya. Like that’s necessary. C’mon

actually the city needs to spend money on a better Welcome to Brandon sign overall.

I hope they put the money into roads and other infrastructure to keep it up.
