It’s a great alternative. Free to Manitobans. And 24/7. Register with your health card & meet with a doctor via FaceTime. Our family has used it successfully. They will send a pres:cription to your local pharmacy too, if necessary. I just don’t think enough people know about it. "
We have a family doctor, but it's long wait times to see him. We use QDoc a lot for in-between stuff. They can even order tests! The last time I used it, the doctor sent me for an x-ray and texted me the results the next day. We've sent the doctor pictures of rashes, injuries, and infections. I haven't yet encountered a case of "sorry, you need to be seen in person" (although several of the visits ended with "if you don't get better in X days, go get seen in person" - but it's never come to that yet).
I will do it over sitting in a walk-in clinic any day of the week.
