C.K.X. up for sale.
C.K.X. Television is searching for a new owner. C.T.V. Incorporated, which operates the station, has informed staff that it will be selling the business.
If there are no takers within the next 30 business days, C.K.X.-T.V. will cease broadcasting this summer. C.T.V. also confirmed that CBC, the station's affiliate will not be renewing it's licence when it expires August 31st.
General Manager Alan Cruz say they are not giving up on the station yet. Cruz says they will be aggressively searching for a qualified buyer and that the sale price for the station will be one dollar. That covers the equipment, and staff contracts but excludes the land.
C.T.V. also confirmed that CBC, the station's affiliate will not be renewing it's licence when it expires August 31st.
