Clear Lake...distance across?

does anybody know the shortest distance across Clear Lake? I know it's from the North Shore to the point right across where the walking path is farthest north but I'm not sure the actual distance, I would guess somewhere around 2 kms. Does anybody happen to have this fact?
I wanna swim it this summer.
