I’m sure most have noticed the price increases that have taken place lately (meaning the last year or so). Hydro’s increased I think it was 2.9%, water has been rising (no pun intended) steadily since ’04, house insurance going up 6 to 8% to cover inflation, property/school taxes , prices at the grocery store up as much as 25% in some cases( for staples not luxury items). It’s not just one increase that gets you it’s all of them combined! When did I get an increase in my income? They all look at you like “what’re you going to do it’s the way life goes”…but in some cases it’s not just a shrug your shoulders kind of thing. I’m going along and one day it just hits me. All these increases and my income sits there maybe it goes up what 3 to 5% cost of living, doesn’t even touch the totals I’m looking at.
