Fatal stabbing in Brandon

Came across this in the BPS news release this morning:
"Brandon Police Service members are currently investigating a stabbing which occurred in the city overnight. No further details are being released, as the investigation is ongoing. Further information will follow when available."
Not a lot to go on, but did anyone reading notice an abundance of sirens/activity in any particular area last night? Let's please try to avoid any speculation that has no basis to it...
