I am both an avid walker and a cyclist. I like to walk on the sidewalks and paths in our city as well as bike on the roadway.  
 
I'm getting really annoyed at the amount of people who don't understand that biking on the sidewalk is "illegal". Why are competent adults biking on the damn sidewalks? They should be on the road with the rest of traffic!  
 
I understand parents with little ones or kids in general can be on the sidewalk (of course depends on the size of bike they are riding) for safety reasons. But there is no way a grown adult or teen should be ripping around on the sidewalks narrowly avoiding collision with me and other pedestrians walking!
