does the BSD have to inform parents???

Just a question . . . once there have been confirmed cases of H1N1 in a school (in BSD) does the school have to notify parents??? I'm not talking about giving out particulars or anything, but simply stating "There are # confirmed cases of H1N1 in (enter school name)" I'm just asking. Does the school have the obligation to tell parents??
I would assume they would, no?
I am hoping this will not turn into any sort of debate about vaccination or whatever, just seeking an answer to my question.
