Elkhorn family protesting $1600 ambulance bill to Brandon

From the Canoe link below, the family of a 90 year old Elkhorn woman is protesting a large ambulance bill.
She broke her hip and wrist and was initially sent by ambulance from Elkhorn to Moosomin. After two days it was determined that she needed to go to the BRHC, where she was transferred by ambulance.
Going by the article, since it was an inter-facility transfer she may be able to avoid the fee.....
