I was wondering if there is any rule/law that states how long a landlord has to cash a rent cheque. I checked the residential tenancies branch website and couldn't find anything.  
My landlord requires us to pay our rent by cheque which is fine, however they often take up to the 10th or 15th of the month to cash the cheque..  
I don't think this is right, we give them the cheque on the 1st and have the money available then.
