First flood forecast released - (Probably) good news

At lunch time today the Province released its first flood forecast for the Spring.. the link to the full document is below.
As far as Brandon goes, even though we've had higher than normal snowfall in the city itself this year it looks like we are not likely to have any kind of serious situation this spring barring something unexpected.
They perform their measurements in feet above sea level, and flood stage for 1st street in Brandon is 1172 feet. With average weather, the banks are predicted to swell to 1170.3. With "unfavourable" weather, they could go as high as 1174.1.. which would cause flooding in areas that we traditionally see under water. As a comparison, last year peaked at 1173.8... so what we saw last year sounds like the worst-case scenario for this year.
